Parents place parental controls on their computers, essentially to protect their children from some of the dangers found online. Some kids are old enough and have to do research, so those controls cannot always be in place.
Even then parents need to monitor online activity, not to be a detective, but to get an
idea of your children's activities, and interests, so you can provide proper guidance.
There is nothing that said that you cannot monitor your spouse's online activity,
especially if you suspect infidelity, or inappropriate same sex behavior.
To check your computer's browsing history, you must have a browser window open.
Just pretend like you are going to a website and before typing in the site address,
PRESS the CTRL key as well as the H key.
CTRL + H
A new window will pop up to the top left or top right. You will be
able to click on today's history or history from weeks ago.
If you use Google Chrome you will get the day, date and time of the sites visited.
If you use Internet Explorer, Fire Fox, ANY browser for that matter,
you will get a list of all sites visited and you will be able to look at the site contents.
If you cannot see the sites visited, the browsing history has been deleted.
The browsing history is usually deleted when the computer user has something to hide.
Even if it's financial stuff that's being hidden, you may be at risk in your relationship.
